In our project we are studying the correlation of grades with the amount of sound. We deployed a sound sensor in a freshmen Spanish class at Lane Tech College Prep (Room 106). Each student pressed a button that matches their own personal grade in the class before they entered the classroom. This is interesting because it brings up the question if sound effects student's grades in a positive way or a negative way. We started building our node with a sketch:
Then a prototype:
Then a model:
Finally, a final product:
We encountered challenges with the development of the sound code. We had to manipulate the code multiple times before it began to run fluently. We learned that it takes a lot of planning and preparation to make this project a reality. We also learned that it's easier to assign certain tasks to individuals because it saves time and allows to be more productive during our work time.
