Environmental Monitoring Smart Plant Organizer

This was a midterm project for my Fall 2023 Internet of Things course, part of Central New Mexico CC's Ingenuity program. I was inspired by the idea of a plant being something that might be on a desk to envision a multicompartment desk organizer with different areas to hold the plant, a water reservoir, electronics, and a OLED display.

This particular plant was also part of my inspiration for the physical form of this project. The pattern on the leaves really appealed to me and I think the color and form of the PLA on the 3d printed parts really shows off the look of the plant.

Several people have asked what type of plant it is -- it's a "Maranta", purchased from a small local garden store for $ 8.99.
